Visalia Police Investigate Shooting That Left 1 Hurt
shooting in Visalia on Friday night left one person injured and prompted a temporary lockdown at a nearby Boys and Girls Club, police said.
Officers responded at about 7:11 p.m. to reports of shots fired in the 900 block of South Locust Street, according to the Visalia Police Department.
Police said officers found evidence of a shooting when they arrived. As a precaution, the nearby Boys and Girls Club was placed on lockdown.
Investigators later confirmed that one person had been shot and suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
No arrests were announced, and police said the investigation remains ongoing.
