Visalia Police Arrest 3 After Illegal Machine Gun, Firearms Found

Three people were arrested Friday after authorities found an illegal machine gun and other firearms in a Visalia home, the Visalia Police Department reported.

The Tulare County Agencies Regional Gun Violence Enforcement Team, with assistance from Visalia PD’s SWAT Team and Narcotics Unit, served a search warrant at a residence near Hemlock  and Heritage avenues. Officers contacted several individuals at the home and discovered a privately manufactured AR-15-style machine gun and a Glock pistol.

Elias Torres, 18, of Visalia was booked on suspicion of possession of a machine gun. Willard Sean Jones, 51, and Shenita Jones, 57, both of Visalia, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a machine gun, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of ammunition by a prohibited person.

All three were booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Detention Facility.
