Publix removing 10-item limit from express checkout lanes
Publix says it is removing the 10-item limit at its express checkout lanes in an effort to improve checkout efficiency.
The grocery chain said in a statement that the change is intended to reduce wait times at checkout.

Publix said the change is already underway at many stores and will soon expand to all locations.
According to the American Customer Satisfaction Index, Publix ranked as the nations No. 2 grocery store chain in 2026, behind Trader Joes.
Publix operates nearly 1,500 stores across the Southern United States.
