Fresno Police Motorcycle Operation Grabs Speeders, DUIs

Fresno motorcycle cops were out in force on Saturday and early Sunday, citing 69 drivers and riders for a variety of violations.

The operation lasted from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., with police making 31 citations for speeding, three for driving under the influence, and two for either driving without a license or driving with a suspended license, according to a news release.

Thirty-three others got citations for mechanical or moving violations.

Another operation will be held on October.

Funding for the program came from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
