Fresno Highway 99 Lane Closures Scheduled This Week for Concrete Repairs

The California Department of Transportation announced scheduled closures this week for concrete pavement repair operations along Highway 99 in Fresno.

On Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., the No. 3 lane of northbound Highway 99 from Merced Street to Adams Avenue will be closed for repairs. The northbound on-ramp at Merced Street will also be closed during that time.

From 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. the same day, the No. 3 lane of northbound Highway 99 from just north of American Avenue to Chestnut Avenue will be closed. The northbound off-ramp at Chestnut Avenue will also be closed.

On Thursday, from 1:15 a.m. to 4 a.m., the No. 1 and No. 2 lanes of southbound Highway 99 from just south of Shaw Avenue to the Golden State Avenue overcrossing will be closed for repairs.

Later that morning, from 4:15 a.m. to 8 a.m., the No. 3 lane of southbound Highway 99 from Veterans Boulevard to just north of Shaw Avenue will be closed.

Caltrans said closures may continue longer each day if needed due to weather delays or other maintenance-related issues. Officials urged drivers to use caution, allow extra travel time in the area and remain alert for road maintenance personnel and “Slow for the Cone Zone.
