Fresno Domestic Violence Incident Ends in Ear-Biting Attack, Suspect Arrested

A 46-year-old man was arrested on multiple domestic violence-related charges and a probation violation after an incident at a Fresno hotel over the weekend, police said.

On Sunday, the Fresno Police Department said a confidential victim and suspect Stephon Jones were drinking at the University Inn hotel when a domestic violence incident occurred. Police said Jones slapped the victim in the face.

According to police, the victim attempted to flee but was caught in the parking lot and dragged back into the hotel room, where Jones allegedly prevented the victim from leaving and pinned the victim down.

While the victim was being restrained, police said Jones bit the victim’s left ear, causing a serious injury that required sutures.

Authorities said the victim was able to escape after Jones fell asleep.

Police said Jones, who is on Fresno County probation for felony domestic violence, was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail.
