Visalia Police Arrest Armed Man After Search Reveals Firearms Manufacturing Evidence
A 26-year-old man was arrested after police serving a search warrant found multiple firearms and evidence that firearms were being manufactured at a residence Friday, authorities said.
Officers with the Visalia Police Department’s Special Enforcement Unit, assisted by the department’s Narcotics Unit and the Tulare Area Gun Violence Enforcement Team, served the warrant at about 6 p.m. at a home in the 900 block of Tipton Street, police said.
During the operation, officers encountered Marcus Emery walking near the residence. Police said Emery was found carrying a loaded Tec-9-style firearm equipped with a high-capacity magazine.
A search of the residence uncovered multiple operational firearms and evidence indicating firearms were being manufactured at the location, according to police.
Emery was arrested and booked on charges that include possession of assault weapons, firearms manufacturing, and several other firearms-related offenses.
Police did not release additional details about the investigation. The case remains under investigation.
