Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Bust, Four Arrested in Visalia

A traffic stop Saturday afternoon led to the seizure of methamphetamine and the arrest of four people, according to Visalia police.

Around 3:15 p.m., a Visalia Police officer stopped a vehicle near Main and Santa Fe streets after it was observed crossing over the double yellow lines.

The vehicle was occupied by Rudy Ramirez, 32, Frank Delgado, 26, Cassandra Smith, 36, and Antonia Ramirez Rodriguez, 32. Police said Ramirez and Smith were on active parole.

During the investigation, officers found methamphetamine concealed on one of the occupants and recovered additional quantities from the vehicle.

In total, 128.56 grams of methamphetamine were seized, police said.

All four were arrested on multiple narcotics-related charges and booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility.

While being booked, Smith was found to be in possession of an additional 59.3 grams of methamphetamine concealed on her person, leading to further charges.

Following the arrests, Visalia Police Narcotics and HOPE teams served a search warrant at Ramirez’s residence in the 30000 block of Road 168 in Ivanhoe and conducted a parole search at Smith’s residence in the 600 block of South Demaree with assistance from parole officers.

Officials said no additional narcotics or contraband were found.
