Fresno Double Homicide Suspect Captured After Teen Killings

A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a March double homicide that killed two 15-year-old boys and injured another juvenile in Fresno, police said.

Fresno police said officers responded around 1:20 a.m. to the area of Fourth Street and San Jose Avenue after receiving multiple reports of gunfire.

Officers found three juvenile victims. One 15-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene, and a second 15-year-old boy was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where he later died, police said. A 14-year-old boy was found near Bond Street and San Ramon Avenue and was treated at the hospital before being released.

Police said a fourth juvenile, 17, also was fired upon but was not injured. Investigators determined the four juveniles had been walking together when the shooting occurred.

Homicide detectives identified Lelan Lee as the suspect in the killings, police said.

On Thursday, members of the Fresno Police Department’s Street Violence Bureau Tactical Team arrested Lee on multiple charges, including two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder.

Police said Lee was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Fresno County Jail.
