A Texas Democratic House candidate has repeatedly used her social media to promote a raft of conspiracy theories targeting Jews—including accusations that they are part of the "synagogue of Satan."

Maureen Galindo, a sex therapist, surprised Lone Star State political observers in March after she led the field in the Democratic primary for Texas's 35th Congressional District, securing 29 percent of the vote and advancing to a runoff election. Despite operating on a shoestring budget, with less than $2,200 in the bank, according to Federal Election Commission records, she has been significantly outperforming expectations.

"I didn’t expect this but it’s time to talk about spiritual warfare," she said in a video posted to her Facebook page in October 2025. "They want to push the rapture as quick as possible so that they can see this coming of Christ … This is the way that all of the Jews who own Hollywood, they use books and movies to create realities."

"[Jesus] was trying to warn us. He was trying to warn us about these exact same people, who worship Satan."

"The entire Bible start to finish is about displacement from land, and all colonizers since babylon worship the synagogue of satan, in my perspective. inversion is their greatest weapon of control, so stay sharp," Galindo added in the video caption.

Accusing Jews of "inversion" is a classic antisemitic trope.

In February, Galindo replied to a post complaining about allegedly sexualized content in a touchless thermometer for babies—by claiming that the CEO was Jewish and posting an image with the Star of David circled in blue.

In other posts on Threads, she has been even more explicit.

"I DO NOT SUPPORT AMERICAN TAX DOLLARS GOING TO ISRAEL AND WILL NEVERRRR ACCEPT THEIR BLOOD MONEY," Galindo said in December 2025.

"Jewish church leadership has a dominant economic and political (& media) power that is very real, harmful, and should be named and criticized," she added in January.

She has accused the Department of Homeland Security of being "based out of Tel Aviv."

While most Democrats line up to accept money from George Soros, Galindo has also taken a cooler approach to the Jewish billionaire.

"I've had the absolute WORST experience with TOP, a Soros funded 'activist' organization in Texas. They take over and fuck up every single issue they come across. Homie-- his work is not to redistribute power. It's to co-op it," she wrote in May 2025.

Galindo has been endorsed by the anti-Israel organization Track AIPAC, which is operated by a self-proclaimed Marxist who lives in Germany.

Texas’s 35th Congressional District, long a Democratic stronghold which included parts of Austin, a liberal enclave, was recently chopped up by the GOP-controlled Texas legislature in a rare mid-decade redistricting. The new district contains less than 10 percent of the original constituency and Republicans have a 4 point advantage, according to the nonpartisan Cook Political Report.

But insiders say it’s still a jump ball, particularly in what is expected to be a difficult midterm year for Republicans nationally. And in Texas, the high-profile, far-left Democratic Senate nominee, James Talarico, could help turn out progressives.

"It’s definitely a toss-up, especially in the San Antonio suburbs as they’ve grown outward. Republicans have an advantage, it’s a district Trump won, but it is not a safe Republican district in any sense of the word," Ryan Girdusky, a longtime GOP operative and founder of the 1776 Project PAC, told the Washington Free Beacon.

Galindo will face Johnny Garcia, the public information officer for the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, in the primary runoff on May 26.

When reached by phone by the Free Beacon, Galindo declined to answer any questions.
