Clovis Hit-and-Run Victim Dies After DUI Collision
The victim of a DUI-related hit-and-run collision that occurred Thursday has died at a hospital, authorities said.
The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Johnny Raygoza, 41, of Fresno. Officials said there are no further updates in the case as the Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
Police said Francis Portillo, 45, of Clovis, was arrested Thursday evening and is facing charges including felony DUI, felony hit and run, evading officers, and possession of a controlled substance.

Authorities said this is the second fatal traffic collision in Clovis this year.
The Clovis Police Department urged drivers to avoid impaired driving and plan ahead by using a designated sober driver, rideshare service, taxi, public transportation, or staying with friends or family. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
