Bay to Breakers Partners With Biofreeze Ahead of 2026 Race
Biofreeze has been named the official pain relief partner of the 2026 Bay to Breakers race, organizers announced Tuesday, ahead of the San Francisco footrace expected to draw 30,000 participants on May 17.
The Biofreeze partnership announcement follows news that SurveyMonkey was named the event’s “Official Curiosity Partner.”
As part of the partnership, Biofreeze will host a “Pain Relief Zone” at Mile 5 along the 12-kilometer course, where the company’s “Cooling Crew” will provide runners with Biofreeze spray aimed at relieving muscle and joint aches and pains.
Bay to Breakers, one of San Francisco’s best-known annual events, draws elite athletes, recreational runners, families, corporate teams, and costumed participants for a citywide celebration stretching from the bay through the city.
The 2026 race will feature a new finish location inside Golden Gate Park.
“Bay to Breakers embodies energy, joy, and community – where participants come together to move, celebrate, and experience one of the most iconic courses in the world,” said Phyllis Blanchard of Bay to Breakers and Motiv Sports. She called the partnership with Biofreeze “a natural fit.”
Biofreeze representatives also will appear at the Bay to Breakers Expo at Sports Basement’s Stonestown location from May 14-16 and at the Finish Festival in Golden Gate Park.
“Biofreeze is proud to support runners where they need us most — on the course, in the moment and on the way to the finish line,” said Mark Pearson, global vice president for VMS and Wellness at Reckitt.
